The first day you will be picked up early from your hotel and be taken to Ollantaytambo (1 hour and a half) where you will take the train to Aguas Calientes town, the train ride is 1 hour and a half as well.
Along our train journey, you will see snow-capped mountains, spectacular views of farmlands, valleys and the mighty Urubamba River, a source of the Amazon River.
We will disembark at Aguas Calientes town (2040m) where your professional tour guide will take you straight to the Entrance to Machupicchu citadel by 30 minutes bus. Upon arrival, we will be given a 2-hour guided tour. Machupicchu is declared World Heritage Site – natural and cultural – by UNESCO, a very important energy center, showing its best side with a majestic and historical architecture, agricultural and urban areas of the citadel.
You will then be given time to explore on your own; the 1.5 hour trek to the Sun Gate or Intipunku (2490m) and/or the 1 hour trek to the Inca Bridge are available and free to all. Based upon the departure time of your train, we will board a bus back down to Aguas Calientes where we will catch the train to Ollantaytambo.
