The Inca Trail is not the only place known to venture there other archaeological sites like is Choquequirao, come and take a nice souvenir walking with us through the Cradle of Gold.
Choquequirao Trek Peru is the second “Lost City of the Incas”, Machu Picchu after. Choquequirao means “cradle of gold” in Quechua. famous because he had a convenient location and was the last bastion of Inca resistance. It is located atop the Apurimac Canyon Choquequirao 3,050 meters (10,010 feet)
Above the raging waters of the Apurimac River. Surrounded by spectacular snow-capped peaks, densely packed trees slopes, the city is an inspiring example of an elite ceremonial center Inca dedicated to the worship of the God of the mountains, the river and the elements of nature. Choquequirao has been called “sacred sister of Machu Picchu”, due to the striking similarities of design and ceremonial architecture to its famous counterpart above the Urubamba Gorge. However, it remains an enigmatic place whose history is speculation. For centuries Choquequirao lay shrouded in darkness, protected by their remoteness.
Salimos de Cusco a las 4:00 am de la mañana. Llegada a la ciudad de Cachora a las 6:30 am, donde tendremos nuestro desayuno. Desde aquí continuamos nuestra caminata después de organizar el equipo en mulas y caballos. Desde allí se pueden ver los majestuosos picos nevados Padrayoc es de 5482 metros. En el camino observaremos los picos cubiertos de nieve de Padrayoc y Wayna Cachora, podemos apreciar el hermoso cambio de paisaje desde precipicios hasta montañas nevadas.
Encuentre agua, Playa Rosalina (campamento a 1550 msnm), La Huerta (2705 m) y finalmente llegó a Santa Rosa (2115 msnm).
